For the Round Pegs in Square Holes (Art Gallery Edition)

Categories Places, Read More

We should start this post with a caveat (probably not the first thing you would like to see as the first sentence in a blog post). So, this feature is a relatively new thing for us as we have just started visiting new spaces in the hope of discovering awesome places that are generally outside the public’s radar. That said, you will probably read about a few places on the blog that are kind of a different experience for us? But with the hope you will be encouraged to try things outside your comfort zone.

Our quest for a new experience led us to the Red Hill Art Gallery. A quaint little place located, as you might have guessed it, in Red Hill, Limuru. The owners are a lovely couple whose home shares the same compound as the gallery. Their passion for art led them to open up a modern and contemporary gallery which features local talent. The space hosts a number of renowned names in the art scene, such as Paul Onditi, Justus Kyalo, Beatrice Wanjiku, and Martin Onyis, to name a few.

If you’re interested in visiting the place, you might do so at any day of the week from 11a.m to 5pm. However, if you would like to meet and perhaps socialize with other art lovers, Sunday is the most popular day to do so. Also, entrance is free, how cool is that?

Till next time folks, adios.
